WHAT MAKES WORLD DAY OF THE SICK SO IMPORTANT?

World Day of the Sick was started by Pope John Paul II in 1982 and is an observance in the Catholic Church for prayer and solidarity with those who are ill. The day aims to remind everyone to see in the sick, the face of Christ and to offer one’s suffering for the good of the Church.
