SFC’s Annual Holiday Food Drive
The St. Frances Cabrini Men’s Club will again be sponsoring the Annual Holiday Food Drive. Each year presents unique challenges. This year, we expect more requests for assistance due to the state of the economy and escalating food costs.
These events have a history dating back to the 1960s and have presented opportunities for the SFC community to demonstrate our compassion and care for the marginalized and less fortunate in our Cambrian Park area as well as throughout the Diocese.
The SFC Church and School communities have been so generous with their support throughout the years, and we appreciate the support provided. We also appreciate the donations from The Knights of Columbus, ICF Branch 191, and our Assyrian Community for their annual support of our efforts.
The 2022 distribution dates: Saturday November 19th and Saturday, December 17th.
Our goal is to provide a box of food to all individuals and families that come to us for assistance as well as a turkey at Thanksgiving, and a turkey or ham at Christmas. We will also be providing gift cards at Christmas in lieu of toys.
The event will be a drive-thru where guests will line up in their vehicles and we will place items in their vehicles. We would appreciate volunteers to assist us with sorting the food, boxing it up and distributing to those who show up for help. There will be signups for those dates. Information can be found at www.sfcabrini.org. SFC Holiday Food Drives — Signup Sheet | SignUp.com Hours for volunteering will be 8:00am to 1:00pm, on both dates. We would appreciate your support financially. Please make checks out to SFC MEN’s CLUB, with a note on the memo line “HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE”.
We would also appreciate donations of turkeys at Thanksgiving, and hams at Christmas. Those donations can be made the day of the distributions. Can’t make the day of distribution but want to donate a turkey or ham? Contact John Dahl at the number provided below
The time and effort it takes to pull SFC’s Food Drives together is given by our volunteers with all donations going directly to those we serve. There are no overhead or operating costs. Thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact John Dahl, from the SFC Men’s Club at 408-807-5756 .
