MARY The Bible and the Mother of God is Fall Scripture Class Begins September 16

St. Frances Cabrini
Fall 2019 Scripture Class
The Bible and the Mother of God
by Brandt Pitre, Augustine Institute
We are starting the class on Monday, September 16th at 7:00 PM in the Church. All your favorite facilitators will be returning.
Brandt Pitre is the author of two classes we have already done and liked very much–1) Eucharist, last Fall and 2) Presence, this Spring!
This class is not to be confused with the Mary Class presented two years ago. It is VERY different.
Your cost is $20.00 for the Study Guide.
Please confirm your participation by August 15th. We need a commitment from you now! We will need to order books early to have them here on time!
You won’t need to pay for them until the first Class, but the Evangelization Committee does need your YES or NO by August 15th!
Thank you and God Bless you! — Charlotte and Barry

Come Join us for Taize Prayer Around the Cross at Cabrini August 28

The Taize (pronounced “teh-ZAY”) prayer service is from an interfaith community founded in Taize, France in 1940. We’ll sing simple chants throughout the service (such as Jesus, Remember Me) and have a short reading from scripture followed by moments of silent reflection. There’s a period for your intercessory prayers after which we’ll pray the Our Father. Near the end of service you’ll be invited to pray at the cross in whatever form you’re comfortable with kneeling, touching, or standing by the cross. Take all the time you need at the cross as you place your joys and concerns to Christ.

Watch a short example of a Taize service:

Taize services are monthly on Wednesdays 6:45 PM-7:30 PM in the Church.

August 28, September 25, October 23, November 20.

December dates for Advent: Monday 12/2, Weds 12/11, and Weds 12/18.
