SFC ADA collection update 3-1-2022 – Keep it going!

Thank you to the families who have donated to date (3/1/2022).

We are at 85% collected of our Diocesan ADA goal. And 67% collected of our SFC ADA goal.
The 2022 ADA passed the halfway point.  To date, 12% of our parishioners have contributed
$100,688.43.  We are very grateful for their support early on in our campaign.  Please keep in mind that there are many diocesan ministries that serve our parishioners.  This is our once-a-year opportunity to show the Diocese our support.  And don’t forget – every dollar received over our ADA goal is returned to the parish.

Let’s keep it going SFC community!

Mask Requirements – Update

UPDATE ON MASKING REQUIREMENTS AS OF MARCH 2, 2022

Because of a change in requirements by the Santa Clara County Public Health Department, the Diocese of San Jose is also making a change as of March 2, 2022.

Please take note of the following policy, which applies to all parish gatherings, including worship:

  • Anyone who prefers to wear a mask may continue to do so.
  • Masks are not required but encouraged regardless of vaccination status.
  • Liturgical ministers, out of an abundance of caution and respect for human life, are strongly encouraged to wear a mask when they are carrying out their ministry less than six (6) feet from another person.
  • Doors and windows are to stay open to allow for maximum ventilation during indoor Masses and gatherings.
  • Anyone who has symptoms or has been exposed to the virus is asked not to attend.
  • When serving food, avoid using self-serve options. Preferable options include designating someone to serve attendees or offering individually packaged food.

New Rel Ed Class – Become a Catechist

Invitation from Religious Education Department at SFC:

Dear Families,

Have you ever though of becoming a Catechist? We are in need of a few more new catechists for the SFC Parish Religious Ed Faith Formation Program.

What is a Catechist, you ask?  A catechist is an ordinary person who is extraordinary because he or she teaches as Jesus did. It’s proof that someone cares enough to share the Catholic Faith.  He or she is dedicated to deepening the faith of the present generation. Maybe it would be making Jesus come alive to a child who has never heard of Him. It could be a busy person who somehow finds the time to sign up for this most important ministry and sharing their Catholic Faith with children, teens or adults once a week. A person with no extra time, but somehow finds enough time for other people who need to hear all about Jesus here and now.
Training is provided, come talk with us, don’ be shy.
Please email me with your questions at jschenck@sfcschool.org
Thank you, come give it a try, God’s got this!
Blessings, Mrs. Schenck
